Everyone wants to live a long life, but no one wants to be old. Old age remains the stage of life that has been most filled with myths, still prevalent, and affecting us. These stereotypes we build early in life lead us to prejudge older people and determine what we feel and how we relate to them. We do it with others and we do it with ourselves as we age and approach old age. This influences our perspective and behaviors toward aging.
