Whether we like it or not, uncertainty and the unexpected are part of life, even for the most controlling people. Improvisation is always present. We improvise all the time in an attempt to resolve the changes that occur in life.
Improvisation invites us to be in the present, to adapt to what the environment and others bring us. Improvisation requires active listening, with the whole body. It is an opportunity to develop our intuition and spontaneity, to release the need for control, to listen, and to let ourselves be surprised. In short, it’s about playing, training our flexibility, and approaching what happens with creativity.
